Yard Waste Pickup
Vegetative debris is picked up weekly, on Wednesdays, throughout the City. Yard waste can be piled loosely in your yard next to the road, or placed in containers.
A loose pile of yard waste must not exceed 3 feet wide by 3 feet tall by 12 feet long. Whether yard waste is loose or in containers, the weight must not exceed 50 pounds, and tree limbs must be no longer than 5 feet long and no wider than 6 inches in diameter.
If you can bag the debris, it does make it easier for Waste Pro to remove it. Also, keep your Waste Pro crews in mind and protect them from thorns or unruly piles.
If your loose pile is larger than the size allowed, Waste Pro will have additional costs associated with pickup. If it’s over the limit you will see a tag on the pile explaining what the cost to remove it would be. If you choose to have Waste Pro pick it up, payment will be made directly to Waste Pro. If you do not want to pay additional fees, you have the option of placing a portion of your yard trash out a little at a time weekly for regular yard trash pickup. (Any additional yard trash should be stored temporarily in your back yard.)
Remember: if you hire a landscaper or lawn service company, they are responsible for removal of yard debris IF the amount exceeds the allowable amount for a normal weekly pickup.
Below are some examples of yard trash piles Waste Pro will or won’t accept.
