This year for GIS Day, Palm Coast partnered with Flagler County to host a community outreach event at Betty Steflik Park in Flagler Beach on Wednesday November 17th from 10am until noon. The intent was to show residents and visitors how GIS is incorporated into everyone’s day-to-day work – and how it helps assist before, during and after a natural disaster. There was a short digital scavenger hunt, demonstrations, and prizes. There were also giveaways, including a raffle for free ESRI software!
Regardless of how you spent National GIS day, we hope you it was enjoyable! Thank you to Flagler County for allowing us to come to demonstrate and discuss with our community how GIS is integrated into so much of local government work.
