Palm Coast - A simple 'Thank You' goes a long way.
And recently, two Engineering and Stormwater Department employees were recognized and shown appreciation by the entire department for rolling up their sleeves and going above and beyond to help the team in rebuilding the stormwater facility on Utility Drive, until a permanent home is built in a few years.
The two employees honored were Stormwater Operations Manager Don Schrager and Senior Project Specialist Kevin Howell. Schrager's full time position focuses on the stormwater drainage system. Howell's main focus is to inspect stormwater related residential construction projects and helps residents with their concerns.
Throughout the renovations, Schrager and Howell took some time away from their full-time duties, to reframe the Leads Building, which serves as an office, and the drywall, painting and tile work in the bathrooms. They also helped level floors, replace doors and as well as drywall in the training room. In the storage building, Howell assisted Schrager in the entire framing process as well as the exterior finishing of the structure and installation of the doors and circulating fans. Outside, Schrager helped repair some structural damage to another structure so it could be used again.
They were recognized for embodying the true spirit of team work. Thank you!
