Jan. 2 through 4 - Jack Frostivities Holiday Break Camp - Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 2-4, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE. Your child's day will be filled with a variety of age appropriate, fun-filled, themed activities such as arts and crafts, stories, recreational games and nature hikes. Jan. 2 through 4 - Winter Break Tennis Camp - Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 2-4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Belle Terre Park, 339 Parkview Drive, Palm Coast. This Palm Coast Parks & Recreation camp uses team games and activities to introduce campers to tennis and develop athletic skills while fostering a love for the sport. Campers should come with athletic clothes and shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, lunch, snacks and drinks. Sibling discount is available in the same transaction. Jan. 5 - City of Palm Coast 12th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Event - Saturday, Jan. 5, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Recycle your Christmas tree and receive a free three-gallon evergreen tree (while supplies last). To be held at the Palm Coast Fuel Depot, 22 Utility Drive, Palm Coast. Also accepting: Christmas tree lights, old electronics, and wires (but no TVs, monitors, microwaves). Back by popular demand this year: free secured document shredding service. All trees donated for recycling will be ground and used as mulch to beautify the parks and trails across Palm Coast. Jan. 8 through Feb. 26 - A Matter of Balance - Managing Concerns About Falls - Tuesdays, Jan. 8-Feb. 26, noon-2 p.m. at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE. This evidence-based, interactive fall prevention and exercise program, developed by Maine Health and University of Boston, helps reduce the fear of falling and increases activity levels of older adults. Jan. 21 through 27 - Palm Coast Men's Futures Tournament: A USTA Pro Circuit Event - Jan. 21-27. See some of the best up-and-coming tennis players from around the world at the Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. The 2019 event will be a $25,000 purse compared to just a $15,000 purse in 2018. This should bring an even higher caliber of competitors. Pinochle is a trick-taking card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck.
