Palm Coast - Are you ready for a recreational road trip? Palm Coast Parks & Recreation will offer monthly Discover Trips this fall - day bus trips to attractions such the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens and the Stetson Mansion.

The season kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 17, with an Airboat Ride at Midway (in Christmas, east of Orlando), and registration is now open. Experience a thrilling airboat tour of the Central Florida's Everglades on the legendary St. Johns River, a natural paradise teeming with wildlife and native vegetation. Each airboat ride is a unique opportunity to see alligators, bald eagles, otters, blue herons and other wildlife.

Participants will meet at Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave., Palm Coast, at 8:45 a.m. and return at about 3 p.m. The cost is $65. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 10 (while space is available) at or at Frieda Zamba Pool, 339 Parkview Drive, Palm Coast.
