Palm Coast - The summer season has come to an end which means residents of Palm Coast can prepare for cooler weather and fun fall activities! Palm Coast's Parks & Recreation department will be offering a series of events and programs for adults and seniors this upcoming fall season.

Parks & Recreation offers several educational and social programs throughout the fall season for adult and senior residents of Palm Coast.
The AARP Driver Safety Program is a one-day course that identifies ways that older drivers can compensate for the physical changes that occur as they age and helps older drivers update their driving knowledge and skills. Held at the Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool classroom, 339 Parkview Drive, Palm Coast. Dates are Sept. 19, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, and Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. To register, contact AARP Representative Karen Zimmerman 386-585-4116.
The Women's Self Defense class is a three-day course that teaches skills that will make you more aware of your surroundings and methods to protect yourself and provides safety tips to implement right away. Held at Palm Coast City Hall, Community Wing, 160 Lake Ave. Session 1 is Oct. 9, 16, and 23 and Session 2 is Dec. 4, 11, and 18 from 6-8 p.m. Free and pre-registration is required.
Lunch N' Lecture Series is an event where you can join professionals during lunch for informational discussions on topics that may affect the lives of our adult community. Fridays from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Free and pre-registration is required.

Discover Trips takes residents on all-day fun and educational adventures. Registration fees vary and include transportation and admission costs.

Critic's Choice Dinner Club visits a new restaurant each month to spend quality time with friends enjoying a casual dinner while rating the food and service. Starts at 5:30 p.m. and prices vary. Pre-registration is required.

Game Day Social is a fun program for residents who enjoy playing board games, dominos, and cards held at the Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool classroom. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite game or play one provided by the Parks and Recreation Department. Program is free and takes place Thursdays from 12:30 - 4 p.m. No registration required.
Nature/Fitness Walks provides a great opportunity to see some of Palm Coast's beautiful parks and nature trails while learning about the history and environment. Program is held on Tuesdays from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Free and pre-registration is required.
