Mayor's 90/90 Challenge to Resume June 1

Palm Coast - The Mayor's 90/90 Challenge will resume June 1 after being paused due to COVID-19. It will continue through June 30. This gives participants 30 days to finish the Challenge strong and leap into the second half of the year on the right foot.

The Challenge is designed to encourage residents to be active and embrace a healthier lifestyle. Original dates were Jan. 6 - April 4, as that is a time when many begin New Year's resolutions related to fitness goals. Now, you have the opportunity to set a new goal - complete 30 miles in 30 days! Time to get moving!

"I encourage everyone to safely get back into their fitness routines," said Mayor Milissa Holland. "Our beautiful city has so many wide-open spaces for our residents to maintain social distancing while logging their miles. We also have premier facilities for golf, tennis and pickleball that offer little or no contact for players. I want everyone to enjoy the healthy lifestyle they deserve and to be safe and considerate of others along the way. Let's finish this challenge even stronger than we started."

With recent reopening measures and guidelines in place, you can begin logging new miles on June 1. Your personal mileage will be tracked via Palm Coast Connect and will update every time you enter your progress in the app. The app also allows you to backlog miles for previous dates of physical activity, so you can add your miles that you may have accrued during the down period of mid-March through May.
