This afternoon, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 20-68 ordering all bars, pubs, and nightclubs to suspend the sale of alcoholic beverages at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, for the next 30 days.

Restaurants are to limit capacity to no more than 50 percent. Additionally, all beach gatherings are limited to no more than 10 persons and social distancing of 6 feet or more between groups is required.

"I realize these are unprecedented times, but is imperative that we strictly adhere to these orders to help prevent the spread of COVID-19," said Mayor Milissa Holland.

"We must support our local business community through this difficult time. There are still ways to support local businesses, whether it be takeout, drive-through, or online shopping," Holland said. "We must support each other as a community. Please remember to tip graciously to your servers and delivery drivers. Together, we will find a path forward."
