Register for the Mayor's Healthy Community Challenge
Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland announces the inaugural Mayor's Healthy Community Challenge – a way for everyone to work on their health together while also having fun and trying out Palm Coast's parks and amenities!
The inaugural Mayor's Healthy Community Challenge starts May 6 and continues into early July.
The kickoff will be at 10 a.m. May 6 at Central Park's main stage. The Mayor will officially issue her Challenge and then everyone will take a quick walk around the lake at the park. (Come early for the Arbor Day 5K Root Run/Walk at 8 a.m. – sign up at www.palmcoastgov.com/ArborDay.)
"The weather and beautiful amenities we have in Palm Coast make this a natural place for recreation," Mayor Holland said. "This Find Your Fitness initiative is open to everyone, with no pressure. No pounds to lose. No striving to look perfect. I simply want all of us to feel better and get healthier, and doing this together as a community could be a great motivator!"
Healthy recipes and fitness ideas will be shared on Facebook at www.facebook.com/discoverpalmcoast, and participants will be able to post photos, recipes and tips for healthy living.
