Palm Coast's strength can be found in its cultural diversity. Residents have come here to live from countries and cities around the world. To recognize our heritage and share ethnic cuisine, music and costume with each other, the City organized the first International Food and Wine Festival in June 2012. Local cultural organizations were asked to participate in this two day celebration, to be located around Central Park in Town Center. Booths representing Ireland, Portugal, Poland, Germany, China, Jamaica, Italy and Greece greeted hundreds of guests for this first cultural special event. Visitors were given 'passports' at the Town Center entrance, each to be stamped at the various international booths. Passports were placed in a drawing for a free cruise. Beer and wine was available, with signature wine glasses sold to commemorate Palm Coast's first International event. The event has been scaled back a bit over the past two years, celebrating diversity on one day instead of two. Passports were eliminated. However, the spirit and brotherhood of all the participants has not scaled back at all – in fact, it continues to escalate.
A big thanks to our last International Festival sponsors.
