City of Palm Coast is presently seeking two Engineer's to join their team.  Under management direction, the purpose of the position is to perform professional engineering services in the planning, coordination, and implementation of private and public project development and maintenance operations.  Employees in this classification perform at senior professional level, and are accountable for planning, developing and managing projects in compliance with all applicable City/State/Federal codes and regulations, and according to all acceptable engineering practices.  Employee works with a high degree of independence and initiative.  May plan, organize, assign and review the work of subordinate level employees.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field; supplemented by five (5) years' experience, ten (10) preferred , highly responsible technical experience in engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.  Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

City of Palm Coast is currently seeking an Instructor to join our Parks & Recreation team.   Under direction, the purpose of the position is to organize, supervise and lead leisure learning programs and activities. Employees in this classification perform at entry staff level.  We recruit instructors to teach a wide variety of classes that provide local residents with positive recreational experiences.  Work includes developing and delivering age appropriate curricula and ensuring the overall safe and efficient delivery of assigned programs provided by the City. Employee works with independence and initiative within established parameters, policies and procedures.  Performs other duties as dictated by the nature of the program.

Minimum certification in area of expertise; supplemented by a minimum of two years previous instructional experience within a similar recreational or educational environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Additional training and/or certification may be required depending upon the type of program or class and essential skills required.  Must possess or acquire prior to program and/or activity begin date certification in CPR/First Aid and AED.  This is a part-time position.

IT Applications Analyst
The Application Analyst maintains existing software applications to conform to changing user requirements. They analyze business practices to educate and assist users in utilizing systems to improve practices. The Application Analyst provides user training on new or existing data application functions and data processing procedures. The Application Analyst assists users by providing technical support in response to incidents pertaining to assigned applications. The Application Analyst coordinates with vendors to provide vendor level support of applications as necessary. The Applications Analyst is expected to perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on their assigned applications.

The Application Analyst participates in projects as they pertain to the deployment, modification, update, or retirement of the City's application inventory. The Application Analyst participates in planning sessions, evaluates impact of proposed changes, coordinates with city departments, collaborates with IT peers and provide subject matter expertise to the projects. They participate in the deployment of new applications, modifications to current applications and the retirement of applications when necessary.

Associate's Degree with major course work in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology, Computer Science or related field; supplemented by two (2) years knowledgeable and skilled experience in enterprise level applications analysis and support, including testing, debugging and maintaining various applications and technologies. A strong understanding of relational databases and data analysis is required, specifically MS SQL and Reporting Services. Must possess and maintain a Florida Driver's License.

Signal/Traffic Technician I
Under general supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform manual work in the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of road, highway, traffic and information signs.  Employees in this classification operate Flexi sign making software and Graphtec vinyl cutters, computers and associated equipment in the preparation of signage as well as perform traffic signal maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions and implement timing and coordination plans per engineering specifications.  Position operates various light equipment in the transportation and placement of signage.

High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) year's experience in public sign installation and repair, and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of 50 lbs.; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Certifications required:
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class "B" Commercial Driver's License.

Firefighter - Paramedic
The City of Palm Coast is building an eligibility list for Firefighter/Paramedic. 

The employee performs highly responsible work involving the prevention and suppression of fires, emergency medical services work.  The employee is responsible for responding to emergency situations and assisting in the control and resolution of the situation.  The employee works within the scope of established Fire Department rules, regulations and procedures, however, is expected to exercise considerable judgment and initiative in emergency situations.  Objective is to prevent and minimize injury and/or the loss of life and property in emergency and fire situations.   This full-time position requires a HS Diploma or GED.   Must possess Florida State Firefighters Minimum Standards certificate, Florida certification as Paramedic EMT-P preferred, (CPR) certificate,  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate preferred, Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certificate preferred, Pediatric Emergencies for Pre Hospital Providers (PEP) certificate and a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
