Environmental Planning Technician

Under supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform a variety of administrative and field duties associated with environmental regulatory reviews and planning activities including, but not limited to:  current development reviews associated with Chapter 10 of the Palm Coast Unified Land Development Code and Comprehensive Plan, performing site inspections and assessments, preparation of compliance reports, clearly communicating both verbally and in writing, responds to inquiries and requests from the general public, business community and state agencies regarding environmental projects and programs, management of public records and coordinating public education activities.  Associates of Science Degree with major coursework in any of the Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent vocational certification with major coursework in the physical sciences, environmental or engineering technology; supplemented by two (2) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Must possess and maintain a Florida Driver's License.  Prefers candidates with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
