High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) seasons lifeguard experience, and a demonstrated ability to perform the administrative support and coordinating requirements of the position; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Must possess and maintain current American Red Cross or YMCA, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor’s (WSI) Certifications, CPR and First Aid Certification, AED for the Professional as must demonstrate the ability to swim 200 yards freestyle in under three (3) minutes

Objective is to ensure safety and general welfare of the general public engaging in all swimming activities through guarding and instructing patrons.  Current enrollment in High School or GED program required, High School Diploma or GED from accredited school PREFERRED; supplemented by a demonstrated ability to perform the physical requirements of the position; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain current American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification, CPR and First Aid Certification, AED for the professional and must demonstrate the ability to swim 200 yards freestyle in under three (3) minutes; Water Safety Instructor Certification (WSI) Preferred.
