Mission
The purpose of the Palm Coast Fire Department is to protect the lives, property, and environment of the citizen and visitors of Palm Coast by providing the highest level of service through fire prevention, public education, fire suppression, emergency medical services, and the mitigation of the effects of natural and man made disasters consistent with the resources and funding available.
Values
The Palm Coast Fire Department was formed on the principal of: helping people, treating them as we would treat our own family members with respect, integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct. We are committed to serving our community through individual responsibility and accountability. Working as a team and utilizing effective communication, our team members strive to create a safe living environment.
Goals
- Reduce Response times to 5 minutes or less for 90% of all incidents.
- Increase Serviceable Life of apparatus by 25% within five years.
- Reduce Fire dollar loss by 10% annually.
- Complete 700 business inspections annually.
- Complete 100% plans reviews within 5 working days of receipt of plans.
- Complete 100% of new construction inspections with 3 working days of receipt of notice of construction ready for inspection.
