Tom Gibbs Chevrolet gives $500 for Pink Army 5K breast cancer awareness effort
Palm Coast, Fla. – Tom Gibbs Chevrolet has donated $500 to support the City of Palm Coast and Florida Hospital Flagler's upcoming Pink Army 5K event to raise awareness for the continuing battle against breast cancer.
Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in the Pink Army 5K event that begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, and takes a route through Central Park, around Florida Hospital Flagler and back again.
"All of the money raised will benefit Flagler County women with screening mammograms, diagnostics studies and education for qualifying individuals who are uninsured and seeking assistance," said John Subers, Florida Hospital Flagler administrative director, foundation, marketing and public relations. "The Pink Army 5K team appreciates the generosity of Tom Gibbs Chevrolet in supporting this important effort."
Registration is still open for the race. You may register for the Pink Army 5K on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12 and 13, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway, NE, or day of race, Oct. 14, at Central Park in Town Center from 1:30-3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to male and female winners in16 different age categories. The Awards Ceremony will immediately follow the race at Woody's Bar-B-Q.
