POSSIBLE WATER CONDITIONER SYSTEM FRAUD
The City of Palm Coast has received a complaint against Pure Water Solutions, LLC located in Palm Harbor, Florida, a company that sold an elderly citizen a water conditioner system and allegedly made fraudulent claims that they were sent to the citizen's home at the City's request due to high chlorine levels. This company does not have a valid business tax receipt or solicitation permit to conduct business or sell products door-to-door in the City of Palm Coast. The City is taking the appropriate enforcement actions and has referred this matter to the appropriate authorities and/or agencies.
The City of Palm Coast wishes to alert the community about the actions of this company and its possible fraudulent practices. Citizens are advised that the water from the City's utility is safe to drink, as evidenced in our Annual Water Quality Report. Furthermore, the City does not contract with any companies to test water at individual customers' homes. Citizens should be skeptical of any company that claims the City's water is unsafe to drink, or claims that they were sent to a citizen's home at the City's request. Citizens can verify if a company has a valid business tax receipt or solicitation permit by contacting the City's Business Tax Receipt Office at (386) 986-3766.
